Careers Day Inspires Local School Pupils

Leading professionals from Paul Rooney Partnership took time out of their busy day to talk to primary pupils in the local community about how to get to the top of the tree in the legal sector.

A barrister, lawyer and business manager gave a careers talk to children at St Michael and All Angels School in Westvale, Liverpool.

The children were able to ask questions and find out what the professionals liked best at school and how they got to where they are now.

“We wanted the children to realise what they can aspire to and achieve,” said Ann Coffey, head teacher at St Michael and All Angels.

“This career day gave them the opportunity to meet people from different walks of life and find out what they had studied to get where they are.

“It is so important for children to know what opportunities there are in life and how to realise them”

Steve Ireland, Personal Injury partner at Paul Rooney Partnership, who came along for the morning said “We have a great ethic at Paul Rooney Solicitors in working with the community and local authority, so didn’t hesitate to go along to St Michael and All Angels primary school to contribute to their careers day.”

“This is part of our ongoing commitment to the school and local authority, after contributing to a road safety assembly with the children before Christmas last year.”
