Dog Attacks
According to the NHS statistics 3800 dog attacks are reported each year, this figure unfortunately is said to be on the rise.
If you are the owner of a Pet dog, you are responsible for its behaviour and ultimately the damage and injury that the dog causes. If you feel that your dog could attack someone or something it’s your responsibility to take steps to keep that dog under control.
Aggressive Dogs
In 1991 the government introduced new legislation to protect the public from aggressive dogs. If the dog is known to be a dangerous dog, the dog should be registered and the owners have new responsibilities to make sure that the dog is under control in public with the use of a lead or a muzzle.
